Reassignment of work in PWA

Reassign work

Project Web Access allows team member to re-assign work. (Provided they have sufficient rights) The reassignment however needs approval from the Project Manager. There can be many reasons for delegating work for e.g.

1.       The currently assigned resource might not have the correct skill set

2.       The currently assigned resource might be allocated to some other more important work

3.       The HOD might want to delegate work to his subordinate

In order to reassign work follows these steps:

  1. Log on to the PWA
  2. On the Quick Launch bar, under My Work click on My Tasks
  3. It will take you to Task Center page
  4. To reassign multiple tasks, select the check box next to each task that you are reassigning and then click Reassign Work button
  5. In the Select New Resource grid, select the resource to whom you would like to re-assign work
  6. Under Start box enter the start date for the task
  7. Under Comment box type in the notes/reasons for the reassignment
  8. Click Submit to seek approval for the reassignment from the Project Manager
