Fracture for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Review

Fracture for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Review

Ah, futuristic shooters. We all know and love them dearly, even though some play the card a bit to repetitively. Due to how the gameplay unfolds, it makes perfect sense to go with a futuristic shooter when chalking out the gameplay mechanics of Fracture. And while this game has some painfully crippling flaws, it is the first of its kind to capitalize so heavily on terrain deformation. It may be a while before a game like this can be executed perfectly, but if this is a preview of what’s to come then I’m psyched.

Fracture is set in the US around 150 years in the future. Thankfully for our game a handy war has popped up between the east coast and the west coast, saving him the trouble of standard employment and flattening ground so a new Wal-Mart can be put in. This is where the interesting portion of the story ends as you find yourself in control of Jet Brody, a member of the Atlantic Alliance, who is set with the task to stop a general that wants to further escalate tension between the two factions. Jet Brody is really like every gruff actiony personae in these games as of late: Shallow dialog, stubble and lots of muscle.

But the story isn’t what we’re here for! We want to see the ground below is get ripped up and pulled all over the place. We want a dynamic battlefield in which to trap our foes and blast them to pieces. On this count the game succeeds quite well, the terrain deformation only giving the frame rate a hiccup or two here and there, and this is understandable as real-time terrain deformation inside of a working game system can be quite complicated to handle efficiently. The skills of the players should be player should be compatible for enjoying the video games. The passing of all the levels will be beneficial to buy LoL Lvl 30 Account for Sale from the sellers. The process should be simple and easy for the players.

For the terrain deformation, you get the Entrencher, which is capable of raising or lowering terrain in real-time. Other weapons perform similar functions as the Entrencher, but they are more anti-personnel oriented. Some of these include the spike grenade and the vortex grenade, which are meant to deal your enemies a thick amount of pain. You also get many of the standard weapons we find in shooters: Shotguns and SMGs. But you also get a few terrain oriented guns, such as a tunneling gun that can go through covering terrain and hit enemies, or a gun that augments gravity. The game also sports some standard augmentation abilities for your character, but there’s nothing particularly innovative about this system.

Now, on to the bad: the aiming has some serious issues in this game. Often times the ray used to calculate where your shots are going is far too low, and can hit the ground beneath you many, many times when you don’t want it to. If you’re trying to make a hill for cover in a hurry, you will find yourself lifted up instead. If you’re trying to fire from cover, you’ll often find yourself hitting the cover without a way to adjust. Also aiming the grenades is rather painful, as you can control nothing except the direction and when you’re trying to release them in a hurry this can be painful. Also the AI can be rather dumb at times – while they are trained to react to cover creation, they are very weak when it comes to straight up firefighting and often they will try to clip through walls or just stand around.

Overall, the game is visually appealing, and the gamplay mechanics really have a nice ring to them. If you’re into shooters and you like experimental, extremely dynamic gameplay, then you should give this title a shot!

Reviewing Obsessively Organic Clean For a Day

Reviewing Obsessively Organic Clean For a Day

Kiss my Face is a well-established organic company, offering a variety of all-natural beauty products to spruce up your daily cleansing routine. Not all organic products may be worth the extra price, however; so, how can you be sure you are getting something that actually works? Well, if you are planning on purchasing the Kiss my face Obsessively Organic line of facial products, let me recommend you start with Clean for a Day, which is a cream-based cleanser for your face. But before you try it out, you might want to consider a few things.

As with all organically made products, it is expensive. You should expect to pay about $13.00 for a 4 oz tube of Clean for a Day. Doing a quick price comparison for 6 oz cleansers, you will find that this product is twice, if not four times, the price. But for someone organically minded, this is a reasonable price all things considered.

The cleanser contains no soap, but rather cleanses with a mixture of sugar and corn that is said to remove dirt, without drying your skin. It does not lather like soap; instead it is a creamy white solution that goes on in a smooth layer and gently cleanses your skin without harsh chemicals and scrubbing beads. Your first experiences using this unique formula will add a gentle feeling of calm to your morning and evening beauty routine. It is soft on your skin and leaves no sticky residue like some organic products tend to do. The formula is slightly watery, which allows for a small amount to be used for the entire face. It isn’t thick and awkward to use. I’ve found that this small tube should last you at least a few months if used sparingly, or a month if used generously.

One of the best features I’ve discovered about this product is the scent. If you are used to medicated facial washes, or just your regular run of the mill type of lathering cleansers, you are probably used to your face smelling a little unpleasant before you apply your moisturizers. Personally, I can’t stand smells on my face of any kind. However, Clean for a day has a fresh mixture of vanilla and tangerine. It’s surprisingly mild. Who would have thought vanilla and tangerine scents could be fused together so beautifully? I was skeptical about such a mixture, but it’s wonderfully calming and pleasant. The scent doesn’t ‘dry’ on your face either. It will wear away naturally throughout the day, and is mild enough for those with sensitive skin.

But as you would expect there are a few cons to this organic product. If you are not used to using organic products on your face, than you will have to adjust to it. The adjustment should not cause rashes or anything major. However, you might have a few breakouts of acne. If your skin is very oily, this might not be the product for you because it is not designed to strip your skin of oils. It may even leave a ‘shine’ on your face, as it is a cream-based cleanser. On the other hand, those of you with normal to dry skin will benefit from the moisture it provides.

If you are ready for a unique cleansing experience, Clean for a Day is definitely it. For those of you that expect something with acne fighting power and makeup removal, you won’t get that from this product. But if you love organic products and don’t mind paying the higher price, than Clean for a Day will be a pleasant addition to your beauty rituals. The megamycobalance will remove the fungal infections from the body. The digestive system of the body will function properly through the medicines of the balance. The body of the person will remain fit and healthy.

The French Press: Handcrafted Coffee For Adventurers

The French Press: Handcrafted Coffee For Adventurers

A hand-crafted cup of gourmet coffee, every day? Even when traveling to remote locations? It’s not as difficult as you might think and you don’t have to be a gourmet cook to pull off a ridiculously fantastic cup of coffee every morning. EnterΓǪ.the French Press.

You might have heard about the French Press before. Coffee lovers who discover it seldom return to anything else. If you are unfamiliar with the design, a French Press is usually made of glass and has a plunger or press that is inserted at the top. The same ingredients are needed: freshly ground coffee and hot water. Freshly ground coffee is measured into the glass pitcher. Boil water separately, and then pour the water into the pitcher, allowing the grounds to mix freely with the water. I sometimes give it a little swirl or stir. Then wait a few minutes. Now, place the plunger or press into the pitcher and slowly press downward. You push the grounds down and the coffee rises up to the top. When you have pressed all the way down, pour the coffee into a cup of your choosing and enjoy. The coffee mingles with the hot water longer, resulting in a full, bold flavor and richness you never thought your coffee possessed.

I learned about the French Press 12 years ago. I was getting into the sport of cycling, and started hanging out with a cyclist who introduced me to her French Press. She took only 2 things in her life very seriously-cycling and coffee. During the cold New England winter, the off-season would call for travel to warmer climates to ride. She was young and underemployed-so camping out in tents for little to no money was a sacrifice she’d easily make to get some miles in her legs. Along with the sleeping bag and and mess kit also came the the French Press. She’s rather sleep on the ground than give up the pleasure of a bold cup of coffee from the French Press or from one of the best single serve coffee makers that operate without pods.

I started using a French Press on my own camping trips. I often combine mountain biking adventures with camping trips, and like most people, I need a good cup of coffee every morning. Far removed from any cafe, I employed the French press with amazing results. Since then, I use the French Press in my own kitchen, while traveling, and outdoors. It’s simple and gives a better flavor than any drip coffee maker I’ve ever used.

After your first sip you’ll know you’re on to something. Experiment with the amount of coffee used, the length of time you allow the coffee and water to mingle, and the temperature of the water. It’s usually best to let the water be just a shade below boiling. The whole process takes a bit longer, but the enjoyment far outweighs the time commitment.

5 Reasons There’s Absolutely No Excuse for the Xbox 360 Not Having a Web Browser

5 Reasons There’s Absolutely No Excuse for the Xbox 360 Not Having a Web Browser

The Xbox 360 was launched in November 2005, was the first current gen console, and is the only current gen system that doesn’t have a web browser. This is completely unacceptable and following are 5 reasons why.

Internet Explorer

Microsoft, the creators of the Xbox 360, is also the brand behind the most popular internet browser, Internet Explorer, so how is that the Xbox 360 is the only the only current gen system without an internet browser? If only one of the top three gaming systems had internet browsing capabilities, it should be the Xbox 360 and it’s beyond reason that it’s the complete opposite.

We Pay for Internet (Xbox Live)

The Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3 both feature free online gaming services and Microsoft charges its Xbox 360 community $60 a year to enjoy the Xbox 360’s Xbox Live online gaming service. It stands to reason that if Xbox 360 gamers are forced to pay to play online, they should get more bang for their bucks – and they definitely shouldn’t be the ones left out from having a gaming web browser.

Everyone Else Can Do It

If you haven’t noticed by now, both the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii give gamers the ability to browse the web on their respective consoles and if the Wii and PS3 are able to connect to the web, why should we cut the Xbox 360 any slack? Heck, the Nintendo DS even has an inbuilt browser – so what’s Microsoft’s excuse?

The Dashboard Is Filled With Ads

We know that the Xbox 360 is more than capable of incorporating a web browser in it’s Dashboard because the Xbox 360 Dashboard is cluttered with internet based advertisements at any given time throughout the day. The Xbox 360 also has inbuilt apps like Netflix, Facebook, Twitter, and so we know that the Xbox 360 is more than able to support an inbuilt web browser – it just doesn ‘ t.

Microsoft Has Had More Than Enough Time

One of the things that tick me off the most about the Xbox 360’s lack of internet browser capabilities is the fact that Microsoft has had more than enough time to incorporate a web browser within its Xbox 360 console. The Xbox 360 was the first current gen console on the market and has been in the homes of gamers for over 5 years. In addition to being one of the more senior gaming consoles of the current gaming generation, an internet browser has been one of the most sought after features of the Xbox 360 for years – and yet, Microsoft refuses to add one to the Xbox 360.

My Run Through of Star Trek Online

My Run Through of Star Trek Online

On May 27th, 2010, my computer parts came in the mail and I built my new computer. It is not a “God-Box” but it is good enough to run just about anything on the market now. The first game to grace my elegant machine’s hard drive is none other than Star Trek Online.

Star Trek Online has seen a lot of bad reviews lately. For the most part, I understand why. The game, as far as hard-core gamers are concerned, is largely incomplete. There is an insufficient amount of high level missions and what the game calls “Task Force Missions”, also known as “Raids”.

Cryptic had a release deadline and instead of pushing it back, they met the due date and released on schedule. However, in doing so, much of the game still needs a lot of polishing and expansion. Speaking of expansions, Cryptic studios calls it “Seasons”, which will appeal to the Trekkie in all of us.

In fact, I would dare say that this has the potential to become one of the best MMO’s ever… if they can put in enough content and freshen up the ground combat. Pkv Games is the best star trek online guide. You get the best and most useful tips to enhance your game.

The Good

The environments are all beautifully rendered. I could stare at the awesome planets and the space surrounding my gorgeous, Miranda-class light cruiser for hours. It is all very detailed, even at the lower resolutions. At high resolutions, it almost seems like the real world. The artists at Cryptic have outdone themselves. Kudos to those guys!

Space combat is really fun. It is not twitch-based combat but it has a lot of strategy involved. Between lining up enemies along my broadside, to diverting power to shields, a seemingly small combat encounter turns into a rat’s nest of phaser fire and torpedoes exploding. I almost soiled my pants the first time I was destroyed. I had ten different Klingon ships all firing on poor little me and the death was glorious.

The Bad

Ground combat is repetitive and a little boring. If Cryptic throws in a few mini-games into the ground portion, like Mass Effect 2 or BioShock did, then it would seriously help break up the repetitiveness of the Away missions. It gets boring using your phaser to stun your prey and switching to a phaser rifle to blast him away. The “expose and exploit” method of combat is pretty intuitive. However, it does not make up for the fact that the ground combat feels boring and competitive.

Space combat can be a little slow. It’s not a huge deal, but it can get annoying when you want to get somewhere fast but you are in a slow Cruiser, trudging your way slowly to your destination.

The Ugly

The leveling system and skill system needs a bit more description. The game gives very little information about what each skill does to benefit you. All I hope is that the good folks at Cryptic will give us some free skill resets once they add in more information.

Overall, the game is definitely worth buying for $30 at GameStop and playing until you get bored. Cryptic is working day and night to put out more and more content so if you do get bored, put the game down for a little while and play something else. Just pick it back up in a few months when more content will be in the game.

Which Sony PlayStation 3 Should You Buy?

Which Sony PlayStation 3 Should You Buy?

If you are in the market for a PlayStation 3, whether it’s a new or used one, you’re going to find four different models to choose from. Playing games in playstation is different from playing online games like situs judi bola online terpercaya when it comes to the controllers. Two of those models have been discontinued, though you can still find them used online at sites like eBay, and the other two models are quite different in terms of features. You can tell them apart by the size of the hard drive inside. They come with either a 20, 40, 60, or 80 gigabyte hard drive.

Here are the differences between the Sony PS3 models:

20 GB – This is the original ‘basic’ PS3 with a 20 gigabyte hard drive and 4 USB ports. It could play all of the old PlayStation 2 games. It did not have a built-in wireless networking connection, unlike the other three models. This model has since been discontinued.

40 GB – This is the current ‘low price’ PS3 on the market today. It has a 40 gigabyte hard drive, but only 2 USB ports. It will play the old PlayStation 1 games, but not any of the PS2 games. It does have built-in wireless networking, though. I think this model was designed for the people who wanted a PS3 and still owned a PS2. It costs $100 less than the 80 GB model.

60 GB – This was the original ‘premium’ PS3 that has since been discontinued. It featured a 60 gigabyte hard drive, 4 USB ports, and wireless networking connectivity. It could play any of the old PlayStation 2 games. Also, it has the same extra memory card slots that can be found on the 80 GB model. Those slots include SD Cards, Compact Flash, and Sony Memory Stick. These can be used to transfer data to and from the PS3, and help to enhance its multimedia capabilities.

80 GB – This is the current ‘top of the line’ model PS3, and it retails for $499. It comes with a whopping 80 gigabyte hard drive and 4 USB ports, plus it has the built-in wireless networking connectivity and the memory card slots. However, it has a limited backward compatibility when it comes to playing the old PS2 games, but you can go on the Sony PlayStation website and look up how well some games work.

The reason why the discontinued 20 and 60 GB models could play all the old PS2 games while the 80 GB can only play some is simply hardware versus software. The 20 and 60 GB models had hardware built in to let them play the PS2 games, whereas the 80 GB model uses software. Naturally, the software is cheaper to implement than the hardware, but it also doesn’t work quite as well with some games. From what I’ve been able to find online, most of the popular PS2 titles work just fine on the 80 GB model, but you may still want to double check before you buy anything.

In my opinion, the 60 GB model PlayStation 3 is actually the best, but unfortunately Sony has discontinued it in favor of the 80 GB model with the PS2 software emulation. You might still be able to find a 60 GB model in some stores, otherwise you’ll have to get one used at an online auction site or through a game exchange site. If you’re really lucky, you can find one of the 80 GB bundle packages that comes with Metal Gear Solid 4 or GTA IV.

The Sony PlayStation 3 isn’t nearly as hard to find as the Nintendo Wii, but you may have to check around a few times to find one. My wife ordered us one off Circuit City’s website without much problem, but I think she just got lucky. On the other hand, rumors have been going around that the recent website crash was caused by so many people going on there to look up the 80 GB PS3 bundle with Metal Gear Solid 4.

Arcade Game Review : The Simpsons

Arcade Game Review : The Simpsons

The Simpsons

The Simpsons is perhaps the best beat-em-up game ever, and also a testament to how to properly handle a license. The game’s art style perfectly mirrors that of the show (it was created in 1991, during the second season of the Simpsons when the art was a little more jagged than it is now), the excellent soundtrack by the Konami Kukeiha Club continually and inventively riffs on Danny Elfman’s cartoon theme song (in the same way they built the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles soundtrack around the melody to the show’s theme) and the voice clips are provided by the actual actors that do the voice work on the show.

Everyone’s favorite yellow family is just strolling down the street one day when they happen to stumble into a robbery in progress. An apparently hard-up Smithers is jacking the local jeweler for their loot, and during his flight he crashes into the Simpsons, with the largest diamond of his haul flying up into the air and eventually landing in the mouth of little Maggie in place of her pacifier. Instead of attempting to extract the object, Smithers simply grabs the baby and flees the scene. The Simpsons set out in hot pursuit, but an army of evil salesmen takes to the streets to keep them from catching up with the evil Mr. Wayland Smithers.

OK, so it’s totally bizarre and nonsensical, but it works as a framework in which to deliver the beat-em-up action. While the majority of the enemies that you face in this one are original characters never seen in the cartoon, nearly every major character from the show at that point makes a cameo in the background somewhere as you proceed. Even Binky the Rabbit, from Matt Groening’s little-known Life in Hell comic series written during his college days, gets multiple cameos. So just like video game merch, the Simpsons has wide variety of good things to offer.

Each of the characters has slight differences – Marge has the greatest range of all the characters with her vacuum attack, followed by Lisa and her jump-rope whip, but Konami apparently figured nobody was going to want to play as the girls and consigned them to the corners of the cabinet (the ol’ Michaelangelo/Raphael treatment, as it were). Bart and Homer, the stars of the show at that point in time, are situated in the middle and seem to have shorter range but perhaps more power (though I have yet to conclusively test that theory). The neat twist to the gameplay in this one is that two players can team up for tandem attacks, with each combination of Simpsons yielding something different, such as Bart jumping on Homer’s shoulders to whack enemies in the face with his skateboard.

All of this is probably redundant information for you though, as I think this game was in literally every arcade in America (possibly the world) at one point or another. Many places still have it today (in spite of it being over 15 years old), as the Simpsons are continually popular and the game is just so solid, appealing and fun. If you’re a Simpsons fan and have somehow missed this one, however, you should track it down posthaste. It’s an absolute must-play.

How To Pick The Best Scroll Saw

How To Pick The Best Scroll Saw

The market is filled with various kinds of scroll saws, but choosing the best scroll saw is often a tough challenge. While some scroll saws can be perfect for a few people, they might be difficult to handle for the rest. Each scroll saw comes with different features and you need to decide for yourself which one suits your needs best. There are a number of factors you need to take into consideration before investing in a scroll saw. Here are a few tips that will help you pick the best scroll saw for you.

Understand Your Requirement

Every scroll saw is designed differently and comes with different features. You need to consider the main purpose of the scroll saw for you before you buy it. If you’re looking at cutting out simple planks then a basic scroll saw will work perfectly for you, however if you need to focus on minute details or you’re looking to create some sort of artwork on wood, then you need a professional scroll saw to help you complete the task. There are various kinds of scroll saws available in the market. While some of them can perform only the basic functions, the other ones can handle high end jobs. Professional scroll saws are for people who either use the scroll saw on a daily basis or are comfortable enough to use it for their wood artwork.

The speed also varies and choosing a scroll saw that runs very fast is something a beginner needs to avoid. It takes time to figure out how to operate the scroll saw, so if you’re a beginner the best scroll saw for you would be one that does not run too fast. This helps you focus on your task in a better manner and you learn how to use the scroll saw more efficiently.

This is one of the main factors you need to consider while investing in a scroll saw. While some of the scroll saws provide you with a disposal option for the dust, others don’t. If you plan on using your scroll saw in the open, you will find it tough to work with a scroll saw that does not have a disposal option since the dust will keep flying around. Choosing one that has a disposal option is always a better choice since it saves you the effort of having to clean the area.

There is a wide range of choices available when it comes to choosing the best scroll saw for you. It is essential you pay careful attention to the features that these saws have to offer and make your choice based on your needs. There could be a number of scroll saws that are top selling; however it does not mean that these scroll saws are the right ones for you.  In order to pick the best scroll saw, you need to make a list of what you expect from it and match it with the features on offer.
